About The Celebutantes
Back in school I was a major Duran Duran fan. I had 2 scrap books. A Duran Duran scrap book and another scrap book dedicated to Nick Rhodes' girlfriend (and later wife) Julie Anne. Nick Rhodes was my favorite member of Duran Duran and I was fascinated by the woman who had captured his heart.
While my friends hated Julie Anne (one would actually throw darts at pictures of her) I was in awe of her and wanted to know all about her. I would scour BOP and Teen Beat magazines for pictures of her and I relished any bit of information that I learned about her.
I have outgrown teeny bopper magazines but my love of Duran Duran continues. Now I scour grown up society mags like TATLER and Harpers Bazaar for photos of Nick (the only single member of Duran Duran) and his latest muse. Whomever she may be.
My Julie Anne scrap book has evolved in to The Celebutantes a site about "Jewels" and the various other women that Nick has been involved with since he and Julie Anne divorced in 1992.
The site got it's name from Nick's obvious penchant for Debutantes, It Girls and Socialites.
